Common questions
It depends on your roof size, how much electricity you use and whether you add battery storage. A typical home system is sized after a free survey — we give you a fixed-price proposal with a savings forecast before any work is agreed, so there are no surprises.
Yes. Solar panels generate from daylight, not direct sunshine, so they work well in Lancashire's climate. Output is highest in summer, but modern panels still generate on overcast days. Your survey includes a performance forecast based on your roof's orientation and local conditions.
Most homes don't — rooftop solar usually falls under permitted development. Exceptions include listed buildings and some conservation areas. We check this as part of your survey and handle any paperwork needed.
A typical domestic install takes one to two days once scaffolding is up. Commercial arrays take longer depending on size. We agree the schedule with you upfront and keep disruption to a minimum.
Yes — installations are carried out by qualified electricians and completed to MCS standards, with full certification and handover documentation. MCS certification is also what you need to access export payments for energy you sell back to the grid.
Absolutely. We retro-fit battery storage and EV charge points to existing solar arrays as well as installing complete new systems. We'll assess your current setup and recommend the most cost-effective upgrade.
